‘Fiammetta’ Georgie Gaskin Brooch
This exclusive decorative brooch is based on an exquisite example of enamelling by Birmingham artist Arthur Gaskin. This brooch would look perfect on any lapel and would make a fantastic gift for any Pre-Raphaelite fan!
The original delicate enamel portrait, only 6 cm high, was made in 1913 and based on Arthur’s earlier tempera painting of his wife and fellow-artist Georgie Gaskin. The Italian title, Fiammetta “little flame” is a reference to Georgie’s striking red hair. The original beautiful portrait was enamelled on copper and framed with silver wire.
This exclusive brooch is zinc casting with a trombone clasp and a silver-colour brush pattern back.
The accent colour of turquoise adds colour to any clothing garment.
