‘Fiammetta’ Georgie Gaskin Brooch
This exclusive decorative brooch is based on an exquisite example of enamelling by Birmingham artist Arthur Gaskin. The original delicate enamel portrait, only 6 cm high, was made in 1913 and based on Arthur’s earlier tempera painting of his wife and fellow-artist Georgie Gaskin. The Italian title, Fiammetta “little flame” is a reference to Georgie’s striking red hair.
The original beautiful portrait was enamelled on copper and framed with silver wire. This exclusive brooch is zinc casting with a trombone clasp and a silver-colour brush pattern back.
The accent colour of turquoise adds colour to any clothing garment.
