Back To School!
The back-to-school season is just round the corner and Thinktank and Birmingham Museums’ online shop has a fantastic selection of all the fun accessories your child needs to get the new school term off to a good start.
Shiny new shoes, pristine pencil cases and a fun lunch box: few moments are so evocative as the beginning of the new school year. From rockets to periodic tables, our Sales Assistant (and top Mum!) Gemma gives the lowdown on our back-to-school range:
Back to school soon! What better way to start the new term with a fancy new lunch box and accessories! My daughter loved going back to school with a shiny new lunch box set along with new pencils and pens. Wearing a uniform too - having a bright, colourful and fun lunch kit helped her to express a bit of her individuality and interests as well. So for all those budding astronauts, astronomers or for those that just want to reach for the stars – our space themed sandwich boxes, mini snack boxes and drinks bottles are perfect. We even have a lunch bag that has an easy open zip fastening, is wipe clean and handily folds away for easy storage. Our rocket sandwich box and mini snack box will both fit into this lunch bag at the same time too. I adore the little snack box – perfect for some healthy little grapes or tomatoes. We parents all know that if the packaging is super cool and fun then our kids are more likely to eat what’s inside! The little space drinks bottle with pop out straw is also super cool. With its little carry handle and matching rocket décor the kids will be blasting off to lunch!
For those in Year 6 and up there is also the option of the slightly more sophisticated Periodic Table set. With matching sandwich box and larger water bottle these are great for children who feel they are more grown up and discerning whilst still being mega cool! The matching flask is brilliant for older children as well. My daughter went through a phase of wanting to take in a cup of tea or hot chocolate in Year 7 as she felt that that was the done thing as a Secondary school kid! This little flask with the attached cup is perfect for the “I’m growing up” phase! Then you will probably find by Year 11 they want the rocket set again!
